ABOUT THE BODEGA 1600
The Bodega 1600 is the Bronx Burners' signature community track event, bringing together runners of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels for an unforgettable night under the lights at the historic Joseph Yancey Track in Macombs Dam Park. Built around one of running's most iconic distances—the mile—the event transforms the track into a celebration of competition, community, and Bronx culture to create a one-of-a-kind experience that celebrates running in the borough.
Whether you're chasing a personal best, lining up for your very first track race, cheering on a friend, or pushing a stroller around the track in our family-friendly stroller race, there's a place for you at the Bodega 1600. Youth races, community heats, and fast races for experienced runners all share the same track, creating an electric atmosphere where everyone gets their moment.
The experience extends far beyond the starting line. Music, custom race bibs, live race announcing, podium ceremonies, the fan-favorite Bodega Zone, local community partners, giveaways, and plenty of surprises turn the evening into a true community celebration. More than just a race, the Bodega 1600 is one of the Bronx Burners' largest annual fundraisers. Every registration helps fuel free youth programming, mentorship opportunities, and scholarships for Bronx students, ensuring that every lap run on the track helps create opportunities off of it.
